This policy applies to all visitors to our website and customers, potential customers and customers or potential customers of our affiliates or partners (“you” and “your”).

6.1 On registration

Once you register on our website, you will no longer be anonymous to us as you will provide us with personal information.

  • your name, surname, company name, company registration number, Identity number, and VAT number;
  • your postal address, email address, telephone number, and postal code;
  • your user ID and password;
  • your social media details or related user accounts;
  • FICA details; and

In order to provide the services to you, you will be asked to provide us with additional information on a voluntary basis such as:

  • Booking or quotation management details;
  • flight, hotel, car reservations;
  • real-time reporting details;
  • personal account details;
  • visa details;
  • details relating to skills and knowledge transfer from us to you; and
  • expense management details.

6.3 Optional details

You may also provide additional information on a voluntary basis such as value-added services or third party services provided by our partners or affiliates or any further information you provide to us (“optional information”). This includes content or products that you decide to upload or download from our website or when you enter competitions, take advantage of promotions, respond to surveys, register and subscribe for certain additional services, or otherwise use the optional features and functionality of the website.


6.4 Collection from browser

We automatically receive and record Internet usage information on our server logs from your browser, such as your Internet Protocol address (“IP address”), browsing habits, click patterns, version of software installed, system type, screen resolutions, colour capabilities, plug-ins, language settings, cookie preferences, search engine keywords, JavaScript enablement, the content and pages that you access on the website, and the dates and times that you visit the website, paths taken, and time spent on sites and pages within the website (“usage information”). Please note that other websites visited before entering our website might place personal information within your URL during a visit to it, and we have no control over such websites. Accordingly, a subsequent website that collects URL information may log some personal information.

Signature Travel uses Google Analytics and Cookies to target our advertising on third party sites. For example, it may be ads on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google AdWords and or other websites.

Google Analytics is a web analysis service that analyses how users interact with the site. On behalf of Signature Travel and based on your consent, Google will use this information to assess your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services related to website and internet use.

We use the IP anonymization tool offered by Google Analytics to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

6.6 Tracking Tools

Signature Travel uses third party tracking tools to improve your customer experience.

6.7 Web beacons

Our website may contain electronic image requests (called a “single-pixel gif” or “web beacon” request) that allow us to count page views and to access cookies. Any electronic image viewed as part of a web page (including an ad banner) can act as a web beacon. Our web beacons do not collect, gather, monitor, or share any of your personal information. We merely use them to compile anonymous information about our website.

6.8 Recording calls

We monitor and record telephone calls both made by us, and calls made to the Signature Travel call centre which is mandatory and for the purposes of quality assurance.

6.9 Purpose for collection

We may use any service information and optional information provided by you for such purposes as indicated to you at the time you agree to provide such service information or optional information. We may use your usage information for the purposes described above and to:

  • promote ease of use by remembering your information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you access the website.
  • monitor website usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages accessed.
  • provide any services, which may be useful or beneficial to you; and
  • track your entries, submissions, and status in any promotions or other activities in connection with your usage of the website.

7.1 Messages and updates

We may send administrative messages and email updates to you regarding the website. In some cases, we may also send you primarily promotional messages. Regular newsletters will also be sent to you upon your approval of receipt and you may choose to opt-out of this service. We also make use of the Whatsapp business facility to keep you updated.

7.2 Targeted content

While you are logged into the website, we may display targeted adverts and other relevant information based on personal information. In a completely automated process, computers process personal information and match it to adverts or related information. If you click on an advert, we may send a referring URL to the advertiser’s website identifying that a customer is visiting from the website. If you click on a third party or affiliate or advertiser’s website however, the advertiser is able to collect your personal information. This is done purely for effective service continuity.

  • Credit bureaus to report account information, as permitted by law; and
  • Banking partners as required by credit card association rules for inclusion on their list of terminated merchants (if you utilise the services to receive payments and you meet their criteria).
