It might not be open just yet but Argentina has outlined its international reopening plan, setting specific dates for each milestone in its gradual easing of COVID restrictions. It’s not too early to start planning your next vacation with Travati.

On September 24 it scrapped the quarantine requirement for incoming Argentinians and foreign residents. Then, on October 1, the country reopened to travellers from neighbouring countries such as Uruguay and Chile.

Finally, on November 1, Argentina will allow travellers from around the world to enter. There has been no indication from the government that any countries will be excluded from this reopening.

To enter the country, travellers must present proof of a negative COVID-19 result from a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before travel and take a rapid antigen test seven days after arrival.

A seven-day quarantine is mandatory for those who are not fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated arrivals do not need to quarantine.

Currently, vaccines recognised by the Argentinian Health Ministry are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Sputnik, Sinopharm and Convidecia.
